VA Brings Women’s Health Training to Rural Areas

According to this article published by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, 26% of women veterans live in rural areas. VA’s Women’s Health Services (WHS) is providing essential resources through one of its newest training programs – the Women’s Health Mini-Residency for Primary Care Rural Providers and Nurses. As the demand for comprehensive primary care services for women Veterans is growing in rural areas, this program aims to increase providers’ and nurses’ skills related to women’s health.
