The coronavirus epidemic has many of us working from home these days, but for those who are still reporting to a workplace, there are legitimate concerns about the virus spreading among employees. Even during normal times, workplaces can be hotspots for infections, making good hygiene practices and other policies to prevent the spread of communicable diseases essential elements of keeping workers safe. This is even more important when facing a pandemic .

But how do viruses spread in the workplace to begin with, and what can be done to stop or slow the spread? Do certain industries pose greater health risks to workers than others?

We’ll examine these pressing issues and look to the future of workplace health and safety in this new era.
